From SP7 onwards proxy-agent already has the support for below dependency
<groupId>org.codehaus.groovy</groupId>
<artifactId>groovy-xmlrpc</artifactId>
<version>0.8</version>

You can write Groovy code with the same dependency that will run on the proxy (for iworkflow use step.onproxy)
